Xbox’s Nov. 5-8 Free Play Days event will let players without Game Pass try Anno 117: Pax Romana and Crime Boss: Rockay City. Six other offers require Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential, according to Xbox’s announcement.
The Oct. 29-Nov. 1 Free Play Days event had one no-Game Pass option, Dead by Daylight. This week’s offer doubles that access with two games.
Two games require no membership
Anno 117: Pax Romana offers a chance to build cities and expand Roman influence. Its Gold Edition is 40% off and includes 3 DLCs, among them Dawn of the Delta. Progress from the free trial carries over if you buy the game. Crime Boss: Rockay City brings solo, bot-assisted, or cooperative missions, with story-driven Urban Legends mini-campaigns and Shuffle mode.
Six more trials for members
The membership-required lineup ranges from cooperative heists in PAYDAY 3 and disguise-driven multiplayer in Deceive Inc. to wasteland deckbuilding in Nowhere Prophet. BALL x PIT mixes brick-breaking, ball-fusing, and base-building, while Age of Wonders 4 combines fantasy empire-building with turn-based tactical combat. IXION rounds out the offers with a 2-hour trial instead of an all-weekend play window.
Discounts accompany several trials. PAYDAY 3‘s base game is 35% off from Nov. 4-18, with extra savings on select PDLC. Nowhere Prophet is 70% off, BALL x PIT is 50% off, and Deceive Inc. is 90% off. Discounts and availability can vary by game and region. Buying a game lets players keep playing after the event and retain the Gamerscore and achievements earned during the trial.
On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the Free Play Days collection is in the Store’s Subscriptions tab. Which of this week’s games would you most like to try?
