World of Warcraft’s Patch 12.0.7 has reached release candidate status on the PTR, and that is one of the clearest signs that the update is getting close to live servers. Blizzard’s test calendar now points to June 30, 2026 for the return of Turbulent Timeways, which lines up better than the earlier June 16 target.
The clearest road map comes from Blizzard’s official preview at worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/24276660. The post says the next content update will keep the Void story moving, send players after the forces behind the attacks on Azeroth, and open a portal in Voidstorm that leads to two rotating destinations: Naigtal, a fungal world rich with arcane power and controlled by the Hal’hadar, and Val, an icy Legion-held world where Domanaar Imperator Pertinax has built a stronghold.
That portal will swap locations every few days, and the activity loop will include World Quests, rare enemies, events, and boss fights tied to the leaders behind the attacks. Blizzard also laid out the rest of the patch’s package:
- The Omnium Folio, a runic ledger tied to the Sunstrider Omnium, with more power unlocked through weekly activity.
- Sporefall, a single-boss raid in Harandar where players will face the fungal giant Rotmire. It will support Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic, with Mythic groups set for 15 to 25 players.
- Lorewalking with the Loa, led by Assistant Lorewalker Li Li.
- The return of Jan’alai, along with Loa Speaker Brek and the egg-hatching event tied to her new clutch.
- A new story chapter with Zul’jan, which Blizzard says will arrive after the update goes live.
- Turbulent Timeways, now featuring the Spawn of Vyranoth mount and six Dragonflight dungeons in the rotation.
- Darkspear Dash, a new micro-holiday that sends trolls from Echo Isles to Silvermoon City.
- More UI updates for raid frames, damage meters, and other interface pieces.
Patch 12.0.7 is shaping up as a busy bridge for Midnight, with story progression, a raid, a holiday event, and new long-term power systems all landing in the same window. If the PTR calendar holds, players should not have to wait long to see how it all comes together.
