Maraudon is inside the Valley of Spears in western Desolace. Its orange and purple entrances are reached through the same larger cavern approach, while the inner section has a separate portal option once the Scepter of Celebras is available.

How to Reach the Entrance
- Travel to the Valley of Spears in western Desolace and find the cavern approach around 30, 62 on the zone map.
- Enter the cave and follow the crystal-coloured route agreed with your group: orange crystals for the orange side, purple crystals for the purple side.
- Continue to the chosen instance portal. If you are doing an inner run, confirm who can create the Scepter of Celebras portal before travelling.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Horde players can approach from Shadowprey Village, while Alliance groups can travel south from Nijel's Point. Both should agree on the meeting point inside the approach, since Maraudon is a much larger destination than a single door on a zone map.
Before You Go
A scepter is a shortcut for reaching inner Maraudon, not a blanket requirement to enter through the ordinary orange or purple portals. Likewise, the two crystal routes do not represent two completely separate dungeons once you are inside.
State orange, purple or inner in the group description. Some quests require the exterior cave or more than one section of the instance, so compare objectives before committing to a short run. The map deliberately marks the shared cavern approach instead of inventing surface pins for underground forks.
