World of Warcraft’s 12 Lumber Routes Match Materials to Farming Zones

The routes are intended for hauls of 200 or more lumber, with estimated yields ranging from about 230 per hour for Arden Lumber to 370 for Ashwood Lumber.

World of Warcraft housing crafters can gather 12 lumber types across zones from Coiled Isle to Moonglade, with estimated yields from about 230 per hour for Arden Lumber in Revendreth to 370 for Ashwood Lumber in Hyjal. The materials can go toward housing decor or larger Auction House stockpiles.

Each route pairs a lumber type with a farming zone and marked path. The circuits favor easy, low-attention runs over maximum speed, so the hourly figures are rough comparisons rather than guarantees. Setup and farming speed affect results.

Estimated lumber routes by hour

Lumber type Farming zone Estimated yield
Ashwood Lumber Hyjal About 370 per hour
Dragonpine Lumber Bel’Ameth About 350 per hour
Bamboo Lumber Dread Wastes About 340 per hour
Darkpine Lumber Nazmir About 330 per hour
Ironwood Lumber Moonglade About 330 per hour
Dornic Fir Lumber Azj-Kahet About 320 per hour
Coldwind Lumber Borean Tundra About 300 per hour
Fel-Touched Lumber Broken Shore About 290 per hour
Shadowmoon Lumber Nagrand About 280 per hour
Olemba Lumber Netherstorm About 280 per hour
Thalassian Lumber Coiled Isle About 250 per hour
Arden Lumber Revendreth About 230 per hour

Ashwood, Dragonpine, and Bamboo have the highest estimates, but the right circuit depends on which lumber your housing crafts require. Head to the zone paired with that material and follow its marked route rather than choosing by hourly yield alone.

The community route notes recommend these circuits for hauls of 200 or more lumber, citing good respawn rates or, around Midnight nodes, very few mobs. If you need only a few pieces, easier-to-reach areas may be a better fit.
