World of Warcraft: Forever Replaces the PvP Rank Race With 14 Reward Tiers

Players will earn Honor from kills, battlegrounds, and quests, while weekly Rank point caps prevent a weekend sprint through the rewards.

World of Warcraft: Forever is replacing the old PvP leaderboard race with a capped progression system. Players can work toward High Warlord for the Horde or Grand Marshal for the Alliance without having to protect their standing against other players each week.

Honor comes from killing enemy players, completing battlegrounds, and finishing PvP quests. Blizzard says Honor gains are normalized across battlegrounds, so one battleground will not offer a more efficient route. PvP activities also earn Rank points, which unlock 14 tiers of rewards, including powerful gear and the faction titles.

Rank points have a weekly cap, so players cannot rush through the full reward track in a single weekend. The grind remains, but progress comes from building up rewards over time rather than outpacing other players on a leaderboard.

PvP seasons reset when a new season begins. Weekly tasks during each season award bonus Honor and Rank points, along with a Legacy Point for Forever’s account-wide meta-progression system. The game is scheduled to launch Nov. 4 alongside WoW Classic and Vanilla, under its Nov. 4 launch plan.
