Warframe Hotfix 44.0.1 Clarifies Entropic Eximus and Archimedea Rules

The first four-group Archimedea modifier selection will apply after the September 28 reset, while Necramech Slot refunds are now being sent through Inbox messages.

Warframe Hotfix 44.0.1 focuses on the parts of Iceblade of Narin that needed more explanation after the update launched. Digital Extremes published the hotfix through the official Warframe forums, adding clearer rules for Entropic Eximus enemies, explaining the new Archimedea modifier groups, and fixing several problems across Narin, Hydroid, Riven Mods, and Zariman missions.

Archimedea Personal Modifiers will be divided into four groups, with one modifier from each group selected at the weekly reset. The system is not active for the current week because Iceblade of Narin launched after the modifiers had already been chosen. The first new selection will apply after the reset on September 28, 2026, at Midnight UTC.

Entropic Eximus enemies also received a clearer explanation. Non-melee damage against them is reduced by 90%, while Operator damage is reduced by 75%, and Companions will not target them. Their bubbles block projectiles and prevent Warframe abilities from dealing damage, even when the player is inside the bubble. Melee attacks using the Iceblade of Narin buff from Neote on Yuvan’s Peak, along with Tauron strikes, can break the bubble.

The hotfix also confirms that the Necramech Slot refund script has completed. Players should receive any Platinum spent on those slots through an Inbox message. Other player-facing changes include a doubled Narin Blueprint weighting in Zariman Exterminate and Mobile Defense missions, corrected Hydroid and Hydroid Prime values, and fixes for broken Riven traits and related Kuva refunds.

Hotfix 44.0.1 follows Warframe Update 44, which introduced Yuvan’s Peak, Narin, Entropic Eximus enemies, and Riven Trait Locking.

Warframe Hotfix 44.0.1 Patch Notes

The notes below cover the new Archimedea modifier structure, Entropic Eximus behavior, reward scripts, Narin and Hydroid changes, equipment fixes, performance work, cosmetic corrections, and crash prevention.

Archimedea Personal Modifier Groups

This is a new system in Personal Modifier generation for Temporal and Deep Archimedea that was missed in our original patch notes. There are some weeks that can almost feel excessively punishing depending on which Personal Modifiers you receive. To avoid cases of this happening in the future, Personal Modifiers have been separated into four different Groups.

Each week on reset, one Modifier from each Group will be randomly selected to help avoid overly difficult combinations. Due to Archimedea Modifiers being selected at the beginning of the week and Iceblade of Narin launching on a Wednesday, this is not currently live. The first installment of this updated system will apply to Personal Modifiers after the upcoming weekly reset on September 28, 2026 at Midnight UTC.

Group One

  • Ability Overload
  • Dropped Guard
  • Dull Blades
  • Framecurse Syndrome
  • Hypersensitive
  • Knifestep Syndrome
  • Low Yield
  • Secondary Wounds
  • Undersupplied

Group Two

  • Abbreviated Abilities
  • Channeled Greed
  • Constricted
  • Energy Exhaustion
  • Powerless
  • Shortened Reach

Group Three

  • Ammo Deficit
  • Gear Embargo
  • No Pets Allowed
  • Transference Distortion

Group Four

  • Anemic Shields
  • Fractured Armor
  • Infected Wounds
  • Lethargic Shields
  • Permanent Injury
  • Untreatable

Entropic Eximus Clarifications

With the introduction of our new Entropic Eximus units, we kept our initial patch note description intentionally vague to encourage players to discover the best ways to take them down. An unintended result was player confusion about some of the mechanics and we apologize for any frustration this decision caused.

Entropic Eximus have a resistance to non-melee attacks, forcing you to get in close and use your melee weapon. Breaking the bubble will enable abilities to target the Eximus, but will not change the Eximus’s damage resistance.

  • Damage from non-melee sources is reduced by 90%.
    • For Operators, damage is instead reduced by 75%.
  • Companions do not target Entropic Eximus

Entropic Eximus bubbles prevent projectiles from entering, and prevent Warframe abilities from dealing damage to the Entropic Eximus, from both inside and outside the bubble. The bubble can be broken two ways.

  • Dealing melee damage with the Iceblade of Narin buff from Neote on Yuvan Peak will break the bubble if either the bubble or the Entropic Eximus is struck.
  • Tauron strikes will break the bubble upon contact.

Necramech Slot Refund Script

As mentioned in the Iceblade of Narin update notes, we have removed the need for Necramech Slots. The script refunding purchases Necramech Slots has completed, and players should see any Platinum spent on these slots returned to them via inbox message.

Changes

  • Doubled the weighting of Narin’s Blueprint in Zariman Exterminate and Mobile Defense missions following community feedback.
    • Exterminate and Mobile Defense missions are usually not the source of Warframe Blueprints, so we have increased the drop rate to be more forgiving.
  • Narin can now walk on water during Nurinarim!
  • Updated Hydroid and Hydroid Prime’s stats to properly swap Health and Shield values in order to help him make the most out of the armor gained from Plunder.
    • Iceblade of Narin accidentally swapped his Armor and Shield values, instead of the Health and Shield values as suggested by the community.
    • Hydroid Prime
      • Health: 650
      • Shields: 370
      • Armor: 290
    • Hydroid
      • Health: 365
      • Shields: 270
      • Armor: 240
  • Citrine Prime’s shoulder details now dissolve when aiming down sights.
  • Removed the hit SFX on Entropic Eximus shields as it was being played squad-wide. This is a temporary change until we can fix the issue.

  • Fixed the Neo K10 Relic having the Gyre Systems instead of the Gyre Prime Systems.
    • Replacement Script We’ll be replacing all claimed Gyre Systems with the correct Gyre Prime Systems via a script later this week. We’ll update this thread with more information once it is complete.

    • Also fixed rare cases of players being able to roll a positive and negative value of the same trait.

For those Riven Mods with a) multiple negative traits or b) a trait that has both a positive and a negative, the incorrect negative traits will be removed in a future hotfix.
    • Kuva Refund Script Players who cycled a Riven and were presented a broken Riven will have their Kuva refunded via a script, regardless if the broken Riven was chosen. We will update this thread with more information once it is run!
