War Thunder Update 2.57.1.50 Targets Aircraft, SAMs, and Nuclear Escalation
The patch fixes fuel dumping, missile loading, radar controls, hit analysis, decorators, and several location issues.

War Thunder Update 2.57.1.50 brings a broad set of bug fixes to aircraft, ground vehicles, the interface, missions, and customization. Gaijin Entertainment published the full changelog in the official Steam announcement.
The aircraft fixes address fuel-dumping behavior after using rocket boosters, drop-tank fuel displays on the J-22M1A, and the misplaced or missing third-person crosshair on the Ju 388 J. Ground vehicle changes cover turret movement, missile selection on multi-vehicle SAMs, hit analysis, and a camera issue affecting some radar control screens.
Nuclear Escalation also receives two gameplay adjustments. Airfields will have larger vegetation-free zones, while corvette anti-aircraft settings have been changed to make anti-ship missiles easier to use against them. The patch also adds the Centauro II (P) to the vehicles that count toward the “Invincible Centauro Italian Tanker” tasks.
This is another focused cleanup pass for the live-service shooter, following earlier fixes in Update 2.57.1.12.
War Thunder Update 2.57.1.50 Patch Notes
The full notes cover aircraft systems, ground vehicle controls, the Nuclear Escalation mode, interface options, the Assault: Rocky Pillars location, and customization tasks.
Aircraft
- A bug that made fuel dumping impossible after using rocket boosters has been fixed. (Report).
- J-22M1A — a bug that caused the fuel in the drop tank to show up in the interface as a part of the fuel in the main fuel tanks, without the separate timer, has been fixed.
- Ju 388 J — a bug that caused the crosshair in 3rd person view to disappear and appear in the wrong place has been fixed.
Ground Vehicles
- A bug that sometimes caused the turret to move horizontally in jerks when the gun was fully lowered even though the gun itself wasn’t preventing the turret from rotating has been fixed.
- A bug that caused the wrong missile type to be loaded into the launchers of multi-vehicle SAMs if the missile type was switched on a launcher vehicle and then the player switched to a radar vehicle before the reload has ended has been fixed.
- A bug in the hit analysis menu that sometimes caused armor elements the shell hit to not be highlighted has been fixed.
- A bug that caused the commander camera to jiggle when opening and closing the radar controls screen on some SAMs, like the HQ11, has been fixed.
Nuclear Escalation
- The size of the vegetation-free zone around the airfields has been increased.
- The AA settings of corvettes have been adjusted to make it easier to hit them with anti-ship missiles.
Interface
- A bug that made it impossible to change the preset radar modes on the spawn screen of some aircraft has been fixed. (Report).
Locations and Missions
- [Assault] Rocky Pillars — a bug that caused trees to appear in the air above the cliffs has been fixed. (Report).
Customization and Achievements
- A bug that sometimes caused decorators placed on very curved surfaces to deform has been fixed. (Report).
- The following decals have been moved to corresponding categories:
- Tricolore Test Pilot: to Italy – Aircraft;
- Emblem of the Coldstream Guards: to Britain – Tanks;
- Coat of arms of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum: to Germany – Tanks.
- Centauro II (P) has been added to the list of vehicles for completing the “Invincible Centauro Italian Tanker” tasks. (Report).
- A bug that caused decorators to remain hanging in the air when switching from a ground vehicle with decorators to the Israeli tree in the hangar when no Israeli vehicles were present in the crew slots (or when removing the last Israeli ground vehicle with decorators from the crew slot) has been fixed. (Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
