War Thunder goes over its July ban wave and account security advice
Gaijin said it banned 2,165 accounts for bots and cheat software, then listed more penalties for collusion, griefing, and referral fraud.

In a Steam update posted on July 8, Gaijin Entertainment said it kept up its anti-cheat push in War Thunder by banning 2,165 accounts over the past month for automating gameplay and using cheat software.
The company also said it handed out 37 temporary bans for violations tied to colluding with the opposing team, including repeated zone captures and mutual damage without real combat. On top of that, 203 accounts were banned for a week or longer for intentional teamkilling and griefing, with 11 of those turning into permanent bans.
Gaijin added that 6,673 accounts involved in referral system fraud, mass multi-accounting, or both were permanently banned as well. The team said it would publish the full list of permanently banned players and keep it available for two weeks after the post.
For players who want to report suspicious behavior or understand how the system works, Gaijin pointed to its anti-cheat wiki page. It also recommended stronger account security, including a strong password and two-step authentication in profile security settings.
The available 2FA options include email, SMS, and TOTP through Gaijin Pass or Google Authenticator, and Gaijin also advised players to turn on 2FA for the email linked to their account. It closed by reminding players not to use prohibited client modifications and not to share account details with anyone.
