War Thunder Update 2.57.1.140 targets two Mac-specific problems. It fixes a launch crash affecting several Intel and NVIDIA graphics families, and it changes in-game links to open through an external web browser.
Gaijin Entertainment detailed the changes in its Steam announcement. The crash affected Macs using Intel HD 500, Iris, or Iris Pro graphics, along with systems equipped with NVIDIA GeForce 600 or 700 series GPUs.
Mac launch stability and external links
Players on the affected hardware should no longer encounter the specific crash when starting the game. The update also sends in-game links to an external browser instead of handling them within War Thunder’s Mac client.

The changelog contains two entries under Other. One addresses launch stability across several Mac GPU families, while the second changes the way Mac handles links opened from inside the game.

- A bug that caused the game to crash at launch on Mac with Intel HD 500, Iris, Iris Pro graphics and with NVIDIA GeForce 600 and 700 series GPUs has been fixed. (Report).
- An external web browser is now used to open in-game links on Mac.
