War Thunder turns French Air Force Day into a decal chase

The event runs from July 2 at 11:00 GMT through July 5 at 11:00 GMT, and players need 3,000 mission points with French aircraft at rank III or higher to claim the trophy.

Gaijin Entertainment is marking French Air Force Day in War Thunder with a limited trophy event that puts decals front and center. France became a separate military air branch on July 2, 1934, and the game is using that date as the hook.

The French Air Force Day trophy is available from July 2 at 11:00 GMT through July 5 at 11:00 GMT. To earn it, players need 3,000 mission points in battles where they used French aircraft at rank III or higher.

The trophy can contain one of the decals shown in the notice, including the Emblem of the French Air Force Command and French Air Force Day 2025 decals that sit under France → Aviation, while the other decals are found in the Holidays section. If you already own the decals, the trophy instead gives one of four extras:

  • 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles
  • 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles
  • 3-5 universal backups
  • 1 day of Premium account

Gaijin says the reward must be collected manually after the task is done, and progress shows up in the hangar under Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → French Air Force Day. The same trophy format has shown up in other national events too, including the Swedish Air Force Day promotion.
