Vitality Swept MOUZ to Claim Counter-Strike 2’s ESL Pro League Season 24 Title

ZywOo earned event MVP, ropz claimed his record sixth Pro League title, and the sweep gave Vitality a fourth team title and the lead in Counter-Strike's all-time organizational prize-money rankings.

Vitality swept MOUZ 3-0 in the best-of-five grand final to win ESL Pro League Season 24, securing a record fourth title in the competition. The final at Spodek Arena in Katowice ended 13-7 on Cache, 13-8 on Inferno, and 16-12 on Dust2 in overtime. MOUZ reached the championship match after a 13-11 Nuke win over Spirit.

Vitality entered the final tied at three ESL Pro League titles with MOUZ, Fnatic, Astralis, and NAVI. MOUZ could have claimed the record with a win, but Vitality now stands alone as the competition’s first four-time champion. The team has won three of the last four seasons, with NAVI taking Season 23 in March, and this was its second consecutive title after winning StarSeries Fall earlier in September.

Robin “ropz” Kool claimed his record sixth Pro League title, a run stretching from Season 10 in Odense in 2020 to Season 24 in Katowice. His titles came with MOUZ, FaZe Clan, and Vitality. apEX has five across his G2 and Vitality stints, while ZywOo, dupreeh, and Magisk have four each.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut earned the event MVP award. He finished the final with 21 kills and 10 deaths on Cache, 18-9 on Inferno, and 25-14 on Dust2. ZywOo, ropz, and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan were also the tournament’s three highest-rated players.

Vitality’s route through the final

MOUZ opened Cache with a 5-1 lead on the CT side, but Vitality answered with six straight rounds to take the half. ZywOo set the pace with 21 kills, a 2.00 rating, and 107 ADR as Vitality closed the map 13-7.

Vitality took control of Inferno with a 9-3 first half, as flameZ and apEX held Banana. MOUZ narrowed the gap after the side switch, but Vitality closed the map 13-8. Dust2 was tighter. xertioN helped MOUZ reach three map points before Vitality forced overtime and finished the series 16-12.
