Valheim 1.0.16 Will Take a Few Days to Reach Every Platform, but Crossplay Stays Open
The update will address Deep North terrain reversions, achievement unlocks, excessive enemy spawns, and several platform-specific issues.

Valheim’s next bug-fixing pass will focus on the Deep North, where terrain changes can still revert after an area unloads. Patch 1.0.16 will also address achievement unlocks, excessive enemy spawns, and several graphics, physics, input, and platform issues. The update follows Valheim Patch 1.0.15, which addressed terrain duplication, Deep North armor mould drops, and Writhan spawn rates.
The update will require a few days to reach every platform because of internal restrictions, according to Iron Gate’s Steam announcement. Crossplay will remain functional during the rollout, so players can continue playing with friends even if their systems receive the patch at different times.
Deep North terrain seams may still need some hands-on repair after the update arrives. Players can use a pickaxe or hoe, or walk over snow, to fix areas that remain damaged after unloading and reloading.
Achievement corrections cover Child of Odin, Comfort is King, and The Gourmet. The last of those will no longer require the unobtainable Blue Mushroom. Enemy behavior also receives several adjustments, including a fix for unusually large enemy groups during raids and corrections for Deep North boss-fight spawns that could appear outside the arena or render incorrectly.
Other changes will stop fire smoke from pushing certain enemies, keep placeable rocks and boulders from taking rain damage, and make item variants appear correctly on item and armor stands. Players on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 will also receive a motion-control fix, while the Mac App Store version will correct an issue with restoring backups through the Manage Saves menu.
