CrossfireX is an upcoming first-person shooter set to be released exclusively for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. Co-developed by Remedy Entertainment and Slimegate Entertainment, the game is the third installment to the Crossfire series. However, this game was also struck during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, so sadly, it has been delayed to 2021.
After much deliberation, and in consideration of the challenges faced by the Slimegate development team due to COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of CrossfireX to 2021… …Moving our release will allow us to deliver the Crossfire experience on console our team set out to create.
CrossfireX will offer players “exhilarating multiplayer experiences and a cinematic campaign that explores the global conflict between the world’s two most formidable private military factions.” The game looks similar to the previous Crossfire, with a multiplayer mode that’s similar in style and structure to a tactical shooter.
