Microsoft has removed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 from the upcoming Xbox Game Pass lineup, just days before its planned arrival.
The remake had been listed for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass on July 21, 2026. That listing has now been changed, and an Editor’s Note on the Xbox Wire announcement says Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was removed from the titles coming soon to Game Pass.
Microsoft has not given a reason for the change. The game was included in the July lineup alongside the full 1.0 version of Palworld, Ascend to Zero, and Gears of War: Reloaded for Game Pass Premium.
Xbox owns the game’s publisher, Activision, after acquiring the company in 2023. The decision is still unusual on the surface, especially since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 joined Game Pass on its release day in July 2025.
Licensing could be one possible reason for the removal. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was released in September 2020, and games with licensed music or sponsorships have sometimes faced store availability problems when those agreements expire. If the remake were later removed from the Xbox store, keeping it off the Game Pass schedule would avoid promising access to a title that might not remain available.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 originally launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch versions followed in 2021. For now, the game remains absent from Xbox’s upcoming Game Pass list, with no replacement date announced.
