Tides of Annihilation’s Gamescom Trailer Confirms Angela Sant’Albano as Gwendolyn
The new footage introduces Guinevere and Sir Lancelot, confirms 11-language support, and previews a Gamescom demo available from August 26 through 30.
At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Eclipse Glow Games confirmed Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice of Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation, the studio’s upcoming PS5 action game. The announcement arrived alongside a roughly two-minute cinematic trailer that also introduced Guinevere and Sir Lancelot.
The casting had been hinted at earlier through early signs linking Sant’Albano to Gwendolyn, following Jennifer English’s departure from the project because of personal health concerns. English has remained involved as an adviser and helped Eclipse Glow Games find her successor. Sant’Albano is known for playing Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem.
A new voice for Tides of Annihilation’s heroine
The trailer follows Gwendolyn through a ruined version of modern London divided between two mirror realms. Otherworldly forces have torn the city apart, leaving her to face enormous enemies while uncovering the strange new reality around her.
Arthurian themes remain at the center of the action. Gwendolyn battles with ethereal powers and commands Knights of the Round Table, while the latest footage gives Guinevere and Sir Lancelot a place in the game’s growing cast. The presentation also reinforces the project’s cinematic approach to fast-paced combat and large-scale encounters.
Sant’Albano described Gwendolyn as a heroine who struggles with self-doubt but keeps moving forward because of her love for her sister and homeland. She also said taking on the character and leading the Knights of the Round Table had been a privilege.
Tides of Annihilation will support 11 languages, including Brazilian Portuguese. Eclipse Glow Games has not announced a release date yet.
Players will not have to wait long for a hands-on look. The game’s first European public demo will be playable at Gamescom in Cologne from August 26 through 30, 2026. The demo includes part of the same build that was shown during an earlier developer presentation in China.
