Tides of Annihilation May Be Bringing in Grace Ashcroft’s Voice Actor

Tides of Annihilation may have found a new voice for Gwendolyn. Angela Sant’Albano, known for voicing Grace Ashcroft, is being linked to the role after Jennifer English announced her departure from the project for health reasons. English has remained involved as an adviser, and the development team said she and the rest of the voice cast helped choose her successor. The possibility was outlined in Need4Games’ report.
One clue came from Sant’Albano’s social activity. She began following the official Tides of Annihilation page shortly after English announced her departure, and her account reportedly follows only the game and Resident Evil.
Recent footage from a newer build added another piece to the puzzle. Gwendolyn’s face appears similar to Sant’Albano’s, while her voice also sounds like the actor’s work as Grace Ashcroft. The newer build also uses a different face model for Gwendolyn and changes the game’s lighting, textures, and other character models, although the reason for those changes is unclear. A photo connected to the comparison is available through an Imgur album.
The casting theory gained a more direct clue from an exchange involving Jennifer Prime, who provided Gwendolyn’s motion capture. When a user said Grace Ashcroft was Gwendolyn’s new voice actor, Prime replied, “Yep!!! but this time, no more screaming ‘LEON!'” in a post on X. The response supports the casting theory, but the change should still be treated as unconfirmed until Eclipse Glow Games or the actors make it official.
The timing places the rumor close to Tides of Annihilation’s Gamescom demo, scheduled to run in Cologne from August 26 through 30, 2026. The action-adventure does not currently have a release date, and more details about the cast could emerge as it receives greater public attention around the event.
