The Witcher 3 Remastered Patch 5.01 Is Out With Console Options and PC Fixes

Console players can now adjust Bloom, Light Shafts, and Depth of Field, while PC Dynamic Resolution Scaling defaults to off.

CD Projekt Red has released Patch 5.01 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, bringing new graphics options to consoles and fixes for gameplay, UI, rendering, and save issues. On PC, Dynamic Resolution Scaling now defaults to off, and the game should no longer enable DLSS or XeSS on unsupported GPUs.

Console players get Bloom, Light Shafts, and Depth of Field controls. The update also addresses incorrect frame-rate limits in graphics modes on the base PlayStation 5, fixes settings that reset on PS5, and adds Ukrainian text localization in every region.

Nintendo Switch 2 is not included in Patch 5.01. CD Projekt Red says it is working on a separate update to bring that version closer to parity with other versions, including the same global changes, as noted in the official Patch 5.01 notes.

Gameplay fixes cover issues including Blade Oils not staying enabled after restarting, boats moving uncontrollably, delayed dodges, and stamina draining while sprinting and dodging. A save-data fix also includes measures for saves that may already have been affected. This follows the October 1 Patch 5.00b, which fixed unavailable DLSS in the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version and adjusted lighting.

Steam and GOG will download the update the next time players launch their clients. The complete Patch 5.01 notes follow.
