The First Descendant Penalized 298 Users in Its Latest Abuse Sweep

The First Descendant penalized 298 users during its latest review of abusive activity, covering July 24 through July 30, 2026, PDT. Nexon detailed the results in an official Steam notice.
The crackdown included 12 permanent game bans. Five accounts were banned for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs, while seven more were permanently banned over exploitation connected to the Open Store payment process.
One additional account received a seven-day trading restriction after an abnormal transaction record was detected. The largest group involved unusual gameplay activity, with 285 users receiving a three-day separate matchmaking penalty under the game’s operational policy.
How The First Descendant handled the cases
The enforcement decisions were based on player reports and monitoring. Nexon also asked players to use the in-game report feature when they encounter abnormal or abusive behavior.
Players who believe a penalty connected to Open Store payment exploitation was issued in error can contact customer support through the official website’s Customer Service and 1:1 Support options. Disputes involving chargebacks must be directed to the platform store used for the payment.
The latest results follow a separate review covering July 17 through July 23, which penalized 388 accounts, including 377 three-day matchmaking restrictions. The weekly actions show that unusual gameplay activity remains the largest category in these reports.
