The First Descendant Update 1.3.9 Adds New Infiltration, Descendant Harris, and Season 3 Ep.2 Battle Pass
The First Descendant lands Update 1.3.9 across Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, bringing a fresh Hard Infiltration, a new playable Descendant, new Ultimate weapons, a pile of modules and mutant cells, and the start of Season 3 Ep.2: Assemble. New Infiltration Operation – Supermassive Receptor
- Supermassive Receptor added to Infiltration Operation: Hard.
- Unlocks while progressing through the Axion Plains main quest.
- Includes story beats about the Descendant Corps mission to rescue Alpha and the core of HQ, plus continuation of the Axion Plains main quest.
New Descendant – Harris
New Descendant Harris is available. Details on Harris skills and modules are in the official patch notes linked below.
New Ultimate Weapons
- Hypernova – Balanced Melee Weapon / Impact Rounds
- Hive Master – Tactical Rifle / Special Rounds
Modules
- Ancestors Modules – 21 new Ancestors Modules added. Ancestors Module options are acquired randomly, and up to four stats can be obtained.
- Descendant & Melee Modules – 18 new Descendant Modules and 32 new Melee Weapon Modules added.
- Trigger Modules – 3 new Trigger Modules added.
Battle Pass
The new Battle Pass Season 3 Ep.2: Assemble will begin with this update.
Mutant Cells and External Components
- 19 new Mutant Cells added.
- 2 new External Components added.
Inversion Reinforcement
- Some useful Inversion effects retained, others adjusted.
- Hunt and Attribute categories renamed to Skill and Weapon categories.
- Activation conditions and effects adjusted across categories: Skill, Weapon, Recovery, Survival, and Season, to allow more situational choices.
Miscellaneous
- Axion Plains: new sub quest added that expands the Axion Plains story.
- Leaderboard Ranking Reward: Rankings for the Void Erosion Purge: Challenge Leaderboard will get rewards distributed via in-game mail based on rank at the leaderboard period end. Mail will be sent sequentially.
- Photo Mode: Lighting feature added, Control Guide UI updated, and for PC keyboard and mouse users a Capture button was added.
- ETA-0 shop: After maintenance on December 4, 2025 (Thu), the following Void Abyss Intercept Battle rewards will no longer be available for purchase: Skins “Thunder Bearer” and “Blazing One”; Back Attachments “Collotoys – Storm Hangar” and “Collotoys – Lava Citadel”.
Descendant Rebalance and Improvements
- Hailey – Some skill performance adjustments and two new skill modules added.
- Luna / Ultimate Luna – Note timing improved to make matching notes easier; Max MP scaling effects now have a maximum applicable amount.
- Ines – Max MP scaling effects now have a maximum applicable amount.
- Gley / Ultimate Gley – When using Massacre or Demonic Modification, additional buffs are granted based on the number of Weapon Cores currently equipped.
Events and Shop
The new login event Feast of Abundance has begun. Two new Event Challenges have been added. New shop products were also added with this update.
