The First Descendant Penalizes 1,462 Users in Its Latest Weekly Sweep
The August 21 to August 27 review included 17 permanent bans, 62 15-day game bans, and 1,381 separate matchmaking penalties.

The First Descendant penalized 1,462 users during its latest abuse review, which covered August 21 through August 27, 2026, PDT. The results were detailed in the game’s latest Steam notice.
The largest group involved unusual gameplay activity. A total of 1,381 users received a 3-day separate matchmaking penalty after abnormal behavior was detected under the game’s operational policy.
For context, the previous review covered August 14 through August 20 and recorded 239 enforcement actions. The newest total was 1,223 actions higher, as detailed in our previous abuse review.
How the 1,462 penalties were divided
The review included 17 permanent game bans. Seven users were permanently banned for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs, while 10 more received permanent bans for exploiting processes connected to the Open Store payment system to gain unfair benefits.
Another 62 users received 15-day game bans. The actions involved obtaining excessive unfair gains in Onslaught or repeatedly engaging in abnormal behavior over an extended period.
Two users received 7-day trading restrictions after abnormal transaction records were detected. The notice also included masked account identifiers for each enforcement category.
The developer said its decisions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abusive or abnormal behavior can use the in-game reporting feature to submit it for review.
Users who want to dispute an allegation involving exploitation of the Open Store payment process were directed to the official website’s Customer Service and 1:1 Support options. Disputes involving payment chargebacks must instead be taken to the platform store used for the transaction.
