The First Descendant clears up Ines’ Dark Current changes before the next maintenance

The notice walks through how Dark Current changed in 1.3.28 and 1.3.31, then outlines the planned 1.3.32 fix for its calculation formula and tooltip.

The First Descendant posted a new notice on June 24, 2026 to clear up the recent changes tied to Ines and her Dark Current skill. The update comes after players noticed performance differences following patch 1.3.31, and the team laid out how the skill’s calculation has shifted across 1.3.28, 1.3.31, and the planned 1.3.32 maintenance.

The short version is that the next maintenance will finish aligning the skill with the intended formula. The scheduled 1.3.32 changes will apply Arche Type calculation, keep Enemy DEF calculation in place, switch the damage multiplier basis from MP to Skill Power, and add Attribute Power calculation. The tooltip will also be updated so the skill reads more clearly in-game.

Situation at the time
The update was carried out while some calculation elements were not reflected as intended,
and the applied state was not sufficiently verified or communicated.

In addition, some changes were not clearly reflected in the patch notes and tooltips,
resulting in a discrepancy between the actual behavior and the information provided.

Some of the previously omitted calculation elements were applied,
but during the review we did not clearly recognize this as an independent change, so no advance notice was provided.

Subsequently, while conducting additional reviews, we found that the Arche Type calculation was still not being reflected.

Through this maintenance, overall adjustments have been made so that the Dark Current calculation formula operates correctly in line with the intended structure.
In addition, the changed basis will also be reflected in the skill tooltip so that you can check it more clearly in-game.

The notice also makes it clear that the problem was not just one missed entry. The team said the real issue was the lack of verification and the gap between what was actually active in game and what was communicated to players.

Going forward, the team said it will tighten checks on calculation formulas and application structures, improve the accuracy of patch notes and tooltip text, and cut down on mismatches between the live build and the information shown to players.
