Team Rocket’s Lapras Event in Pokémon TCG Pocket Will Start September 10 with 5 Promo Cards

The September 10-27 event will offer Promo Pack B Series Vol. 12 through four solo decks, along with missions and item rewards.

Pokémon TCG Pocket will launch the Team Rocket’s Lapras Drop Event on September 10, giving players until September 27, 2026, to battle through four solo decks and collect five stamped promo cards. Team Rocket’s Lapras is the main prize, but Wobbuffet, Scyther, Wingull, and Marowak will also be available.

The event follows the August 27 release of Team Rocket’s Ambition, the B4a set that introduced Owner’s Pokémon to the mobile card game. Each win during the new event can provide a 51% to 100% chance of receiving a Promo Pack B Series Vol. 12, which can be claimed through the Gifts menu on the home screen.

Five promo cards are up for grabs

Team Rocket’s Lapras is an Art Rare version of the card from Team Rocket’s Ambition. Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet and Team Rocket’s Scyther are new cards, while Wingull and Marowak are alternate art reprints of their set versions. Every card carries a promo stamp.

Promo card Drop rate
Team Rocket’s Lapras 12.66%
Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet 15.82%
Team Rocket’s Scyther 23.84%
Wingull 23.84%
Marowak 23.84%

The four solo battles use Team Rocket’s Lapras decks at Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert difficulty. First-time clears award a Promo Pack B Series Vol. 12, a Shop Ticket, and increasing amounts of XP and Pack Hourglasses. The first-clear XP rewards are 25 at Beginner, 50 at Intermediate, 75 at Advanced, and 100 at Expert.

Higher difficulties improve the pack odds

Each difficulty also has a chance-based reward pool. Promo Pack B Series Vol. 12 has a 51% chance to appear at Beginner, 64% at Intermediate, 80% at Advanced, and 100% at Expert. Every level guarantees 25 Shinedust, while the chance of receiving another Shop Ticket rises from 38.7% at Beginner to 75.5% at Expert.

Battle tasks add Event Hourglasses and Wonder Hourglasses to the rewards. The objectives include knocking out an Active Pokémon with a Lightning-type attack, putting Basic or Stage 1 Pokémon into play, dealing at least 100 damage with one attack, and winning with a set number of Team Rocket’s Ambition cards in the deck. Expert tasks also require wins without Pokémon ex, five wins, or 10 wins.

Premium missions add extra promo packs

The Premium Mission track includes rewards for participating in 1, 3, 5, 10, and 15 battles. Each threshold awards one Promo Pack B Series Vol. 12, while the 10-battle milestone also grants one Promo Card Exchange Ticket for the Team Rocket’s Lapras Drop Event.

Additional rewards include XP, Pack Hourglasses, Event Hourglasses, Wonder Hourglasses, Shinedust, and Shop Tickets. Pack Hourglasses reduce the time remaining on pack openings, while Shinedust can be used for card Flair and later Flair upgrades.

Team Rocket’s Lapras is the hardest promo to pull from the event packs, so players who want the full set may need to clear the higher-level decks and finish the mission track before September 27.
