Subnautica 2 Hotfix 4 Clears Progress Blocks and Base-Building Bugs

The update fixes Angel Combs progression problems, unwanted water currents in bases, an Xbox FOV menu issue, and two low-volume crashes.

Subnautica 2 has received Early Access Hotfix 4 on July 14. The update addresses several problems that could block progression, interfere with base construction, or cause crashes. Unknown Worlds’ Steam announcement also warns that the hotfix may take time to reach players worldwide.

The largest fix targets Angel Combs that failed to open for some players. The patch also removes water currents from player bases, where they could disrupt movement, trap characters, or prevent players from building and expanding their underwater homes.

Xbox players receive a fix for the missing field-of-view slider, along with a fix for a crash that could occur when joining a session invite. Another low-volume crash tied to creature spawning has also been addressed. The Xbox version will become available after it clears certification.
