Stupid Never Dies will arrive on PS5 and PC on October 21, 2026, bringing its bizarre zombie love story and fast-moving action to players later this year. SEGA has also joined developer GPTRACK50 as a co-publisher and will handle the game’s global distribution. The official announcement lists both PS5 and PC versions.
GPTRACK50 was founded by Capcom veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi, whose producer credits include Resident Evil 4, Dragon’s Dogma, and Devil May Cry. A physical PS5 version is also planned. [GamesRadar](https://www.gamesradar.com/games/action-rpg/resident-evil-4-and-dragons-dogma-leads-stylish-new-action-rpg-gets-an-october-release-date-steering-clear-of-the-gta-6-rush/) reported those additional release and studio details.
The premise is wonderfully strange. Players control Davy, a very weak zombie who fights through dungeons on his way to the King of Monsters. He also wants to revive his girlfriend after she froze to death. The game leans into that odd setup with a colorful cast and a tone that treats every undead disaster like an excuse for another ridiculous spectacle.
A new trailer introduces Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, a character whose true allegiance remains unclear. The official announcement describes Phoenix as a “cosmic custodian whose allegiances are anyone’s guess.” One thing is obvious, though: Phoenix knows how to dance. The footage also shows the game’s frantic combat, with players swapping between different forms and leveling up quickly as they progress through each stage.
Two Editions and a Silly DLC Pack
Stupid Never Dies will launch with a standard edition priced at $49.99. The Glorious Idiot Edition will cost $59.99 and include the Nonsense Overload Pack.
That add-on includes five TickTock Teddies, which function as modifiers that can alter animations, music, and effects. The pack includes playful options such as flashier visuals and a big head mode. It sounds less like a traditional power boost and more like a collection of ways to make an already chaotic adventure even harder to take seriously.
There is still plenty we do not know about how the combat and progression will feel across a full campaign. Based on the trailer and the footage shown so far, the action appears built around rapid form changes, frequent upgrades, and plenty of visual mayhem.
Stupid Never Dies will launch for PS5 and PC on October 21, 2026.
