Free-to-play PUBG suits better than paid

In just a couple of hours after PUBG’s free-to-play change, the game has managed to gain vicious momentum and gather over 668,706 concurrent users, according to the official Steam stats. Something that hasn’t been seen since its glory days.

So yeah, this move suits everyone better, both the players and developers. The one and the only lingering problem would be the presence of cheaters because no matter how much you like games like these, those are the ones that would dissipate you out of it.

PUBG: Battlegrounds is the outstanding and original Battle Royale experience, one of the first to arrive in the gaming industry. An online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of Bluehole. The game launched on March 23 2017, reaching vast popularity shortly after.

Yes, you have maybe forgotten, but PUBG was the first game to get 1 million concurrent players for 365 days straight, which is an astonishing milestone. It’s no strange that PUBG’s popularity faded away as time went by, which brings us back to the same conclusion, and that is the beauty of this free-to-play transition that helped PUBG get back on its feet.
