Project Zomboid’s 42.22.1 Hotfix Adds JRE Integrity Checks
The update also fixes an eMudhra certificate-validation vulnerability and is not expected to break saves.

Project Zomboid’s 42.22.1 pre-release hotfix adds checks for changes to the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and fixes a vulnerability involving eMudhra digital certificate validation. The 42.22.1 Steam announcement says saves should not be affected.
The hotfix follows the launch of the Build 42.22 Pre-Release branch, which replaced the old Unstable branch name. Build 42.22’s branch changes put early builds on a separate testing track.
If you encounter a bug, the developers ask you to try reproducing it on a fresh save with no mods before submitting it through the bug reports forum.
