Putting together a Weather Cup party in Pokémon GO can turn into a small puzzle. A Battleflow graphic updated August 4, 2026, offers several three-Pokémon teams to use as starting points, with familiar picks such as Gastrodon, Abomasnow, Empoleon, and Jellicent appearing more than once.
Each card includes move details for its Pokémon. These are Battleflow suggestions rather than an official team sheet, so treat them as ideas to test instead of guaranteed answers for every matchup.
Weather Cup teams
The trios below follow the order shown in the graphic:
- Gastrodon / Abomasnow / Empoleon
- Gastrodon / Kingdra / Bastiodon
- Quaquaval / Jellicent / Sandslash
- Bastiodon / Jellicent / Abomasnow
- Quaquaval / Cradily / Empoleon
- Abomasnow / Jellicent / Swampert
- Gastrodon / Sandslash / Toxapex
- Ninetales / Abomasnow / Empoleon
- Lanturn / Sandslash / Golisopod
- Ludicolo / Toxapex / Gastrodon
- Cradily / Araquanid / Empoleon
- Jellicent / Sandslash / Pelipper
How to use the suggestions
The repeated Pokémon give these teams some flexibility. Gastrodon, Abomasnow, Empoleon, Sandslash, and Jellicent each appear four times across the 12 teams, making them the most repeated picks in the graphic. A Pokémon you already prepared may fit more than one option.
Use the first Pokémon in each trio as the graphic’s starting position, not as a rule that must work in every battle. Your opponent’s lineup can change which Pokémon you want to open with or save for later. Before spending Stardust or adding moves, check the move text on the cards and confirm the exact setup in the app.
