Pokémon GO Tour: Alola will bring its 2027 festivities to two in-person locations before opening the event to Trainers around the world. Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, California, will host the first events from Feb. 19-21, 2027, followed by the global event on Feb. 27-28.
The event will center on Pokémon from the Alola region, drawing inspiration from Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, and Pokémon Ultra Moon. Specific bonuses, raids, and featured encounters have not yet been announced. Tickets for both the in-person experiences and the global event will be available next Season, with more event details arriving alongside the ticket release in the official Pokémon GO Tour 2027 update.

The two in-person events will take place on the same weekend, giving local attendees an early chance to take part before the global celebration begins one week later. Kaohsiung and Los Angeles will include special in-person gameplay and opportunities for Trainers to meet, although activities planned for either venue have not been detailed. Trainers who cannot attend either location will still be able to join the worldwide event from wherever they play.
Unreleased Alola Pokémon could fill out the event
Several Alola Pokémon have not yet appeared in Pokémon GO, leaving plenty of room for future debuts tied to the Tour. Wishiwashi, Pyukumuku, Type: Null, Silvally, Minior, Ultra Necrozma, and Magearna are among the unreleased possibilities identified for the region.
Some of those Pokémon could also bring unusual form mechanics. Wishiwashi has Solo and School Forms, Silvally has 18 type-based forms, and Minior can reveal one of seven colored cores when its Shields Down Ability activates. Ultra Necrozma and Magearna would add further form possibilities, although none of them have been confirmed for Pokémon GO Tour: Alola.
Shiny releases could provide another reason to keep an eye on the event. Comfey, Busted Mimikyu, Cosmoem, Marshadow, Poipole, Naganadel, and Zeraora are already in Pokémon GO but do not yet have available Shiny versions. Their inclusion remains unconfirmed, as do the event’s research rewards and raid lineup.
