Phasmophobia’s v0.17.1.1 hotfix takes aim at crashes and Kormos bugs

Kinetic Games also fixed held-item stutter, corrected Coffee World tent names, and left one Truck CCTV and Spirit Box bug open.

Kinetic Games released Phasmophobia Hotfix v0.17.1.1 on May 13, 2026, trimming down a handful of bugs that surfaced after the game’s latest update. The fix list is short, but it covers visual stutter on held items, several crash cases, and a pair of problems tied to the Kormos enemy. It also corrects a naming issue in Coffee World, with one known bug still hanging around in the Truck when players use CCTV and a Spirit Box at the same time.

Patch Notes: Phasmophobia Hotfix v0.17.1.1

The new build focuses on bug cleanup rather than new content. Most of the work went into stability, but Kormos also got attention after it could behave differently around dead players than intended.

  • Fixed several issues that lead to game crashes.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Kormos to detect dead players and attempt to kill them.
  • Fixed an issue where the Kormos could detect sound from dead players.
  • Fixed an issue where the Coffee World tent names were incorrect.
  • Other fixes and improvements.

Known Issues

  • Players can become locked when interacting with the Truck’s CCTV screen while using a Spirit Box.
