Phasmophobia’s Crimson Eye Event Starts October 8 With 8 Locations
The event update is scheduled for October 6, ahead of a run that includes Double XP and a returning American Heart Association fundraiser.
Phasmophobia’s Crimson Eye event will run from October 8 through November 1, with an update scheduled to arrive on October 6. Kinetic Games laid out the dates and activities in its Steam announcement.
Blood Moon activity will spread across 8 locations, where players can earn event points toward Community and Personal rewards:
- 6 Tanglewood Drive
- 42 Edgefield Road
- Grafton Farmhouse
- 13 Willow Street
- Bleasdale Farmhouse
- Point Hope, Standard only. Point Hope Restricted is excluded.
- Camp Woodwind
- Nell’s Diner
Investigators will search for Blood Moon totems and complete contracts and optional objectives to earn points, all while Blood Moon weather raises the challenge posed by ghosts. Nell’s Diner and the reworked 6 Tanglewood Drive and 13 Willow Street will appear dressed in red. The event brings players back to 13 Willow Street after July’s 13 Willow Street rework.
Event rewards include a seasonal T-shirt, the Beholder ID Card and Badge set, a Blood Moon charm, and an upgradeable trophy. Players who already unlocked the trophy will add upgrades to their existing one rather than receive a second trophy.
The Twitch Drop campaign begins when the event opens. Watching 2 hours of Phasmophobia streams will earn the Crimson Eye T-shirt, with the campaign ending at 11:59 PM BST on October 15. Double XP and Rewards follow from October 15 through October 22, doubling rewards from completed investigations.
Ghost Hunts 4 Hearts returns from October 26 through November 1 in partnership with the American Heart Association. The community raised more than $100,000 during last year’s campaign, and this year’s event and rewards will be available to Phasmophobia creators and players. Kinetic Games plans to share more information closer to the event.

Phasmophobia is a cooperative horror investigation game played from a first-person perspective, supporting one to four players. Players take on the role of ghost hunters who must identify the type of ghost haunting a designated location by gathering evidence using various paranormal investigation equipment. The game features speech recognition, allowing ghosts and certain equipment to respond to words spoken by players. As investigators spend time at the site, their sanity decreases, eventually triggering hunts during which the ghost actively pursues and can kill players. The game includes multiple location types of varying size, twenty-nine ghost types each with unique behaviors and evidence, and a progression system where players earn money to unlock and upgrade equipment. Virtual reality is optionally supported.
