PEAK Will Keep GLOOM + THE CITADEL in Rotation for 1 More Week

The extension gives the team more time to fix bugs in CALDERA and THE KILN before all of PEAK's biomes return to rotation.

PEAK will keep GLOOM + THE CITADEL in its biome rotation for another week, giving Scouts more time to experience the newer areas. The Peak Team shared the extension in a Steam announcement.

The extra time has a second purpose: it gives the team room to work on needed bug fixes affecting CALDERA and THE KILN. The announcement does not provide a specific return date for the full biome rotation, but the team said all of the areas will be back soon.

GLOOM and THE CITADEL Get More Time

When the pair first entered the rotation, the original rollout schedule gave daily maps two weeks focused only on GLOOM and THE CITADEL before CALDERA and THE KILN could return. Extending that window gives players who missed the initial period more time to take on both biomes.

The Peak Team also hinted at a possible new addition without sharing any details. For now, GLOOM and THE CITADEL remain the focus, while the team works on the older areas and prepares the complete rotation to return.

The frogs, naturally, are still waiting somewhere in the climb. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, or Telegram.

Peak

Peak is a cooperative climbing game for up to four players. After crash-landing on an unknown island, players take the role of scouts attempting to ascend the mountain at its center. The mountain is semi-procedurally generated and changes every 24 hours, featuring five distinct biomes with unique obstacles and enemies. Players manage stamina, collect climbing tools like ropes and pitons, and must work together to survive hazards while ascending.
