Path of Exile 2’s Forbidden Rites update will go live on September 4 at 1:00 p.m. PDT, and Grinding Gear Games has published the patch notes ahead of that launch. The studio’s Steam announcement also calls out item-filter information for the event, including 17 Soul Cores, a new map fragment, and a new tablet.

Players using custom filters may need to update them so the new item names appear correctly when Forbidden Rites begins. The complete notes are available through the official Path of Exile forums.

Forbidden Rites will use its own economy, challenges, and exclusive rewards, so participants will need to create a new character from the character-selection screen.
