MAVRIX 1.0 Brings Five-Rider Battles to Xbox Today

The mountain biking game launches on Xbox Series X|S with head-to-head racing, slopestyle sectors, and weekend Cup events.

MAVRIX will leave Early Access with its full 1.0 launch on July 16, bringing a new head-to-head multiplayer mode to Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available on day one through Xbox Game Pass, as detailed in Xbox Wire’s launch announcement.

The mountain biking game features a 100-square-kilometer open world with more than 30 official trails. Those routes cover two distinct disciplines. Racetracks reward the rider with the fastest time, while slopestyle courses focus on landing tricks and building the highest score.

Until the 1.0 release, players competed alone and compared their times and scores on global leaderboards during the July 2025-to-July 2026 Early Access period. The new multiplayer mode puts up to five riders on the same trail.

Players can form a group before starting a trail or accept invitations from other riders. In a race, the first rider to reach the bottom wins. Competitors can switch between first-person and third-person views, with a rear-facing camera available for keeping an eye on the action behind them.

MAVRIX offers downhill and enduro bikes, and each type suits a different approach. Downhill bikes have extra suspension, handle hard landings better, and remain more stable at high speeds. Enduro bikes are lighter, giving them quicker acceleration and more ability to clear large obstacles.

Live position tracking keeps everyone informed during a race. A crash sends a rider back to the previous checkpoint instead of ending the run, so a clean recovery can still lead to a win. Full race commentary from Red Bull commentator Rob Warner adds play-by-play coverage as the standings change.

Slopestyle Battles and Weekend Cups

Slopestyle head-to-head competition works differently from a downhill race. Each trail is divided into sectors, and all riders begin a sector at the same time. The player who wins the most sectors takes the match, with opponents able to watch each other’s tricks, landings, crashes, and score changes as they compete.

The 1.0 launch also introduces weekly MAVRIX Cups. These standalone racing and slopestyle events will run every weekend and feature separate leaderboards. Their rewards include rare cosmetic items that can only be earned through Cup results.

With five-rider matchmaking, two bike types, and recurring Cup events, the July 16 launch gives Xbox players several ways to compete across the game’s racing and trick-focused trails. Share your thoughts on MAVRIX in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
