Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will give players more to do than online matches during its upcoming open beta. The test runs from July 24 through July 26 on PC and PS5, ahead of the game’s planned August 6 release.
Arc System Works’ 4v4 fighter will feature 15 playable characters in the beta. The lineup includes Wolverine, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Storm, Captain America, and Iron Man, with more fighters joining them.
Episode Mode Opens Early
The beta also gives players an early look at the game’s single-player content. The first three chapters of the Amazing Guardians storyline will be playable, following Spider-Man as he builds a team to face a mysterious threat approaching Earth.
Episode Mode combines illustrated motion-comic scenes with the game’s battles. That gives the beta a story component alongside its competitive matches, rather than limiting the test to multiplayer.
Between fights, players can visit online lobbies built around miniature versions of the game’s stages. The lobbies will also include 16 avatar options and other activities for players to check out.
The open beta will run across the July 24-26 window. A full beta schedule includes the access details for the test, which will not require registration.
With the full game arriving on August 6, this beta gives players an early chance to try its roster, online spaces, and opening story chapters before launch.
