Manor Lords Beta 0.8.110 Brings Mandatory Crop Rotation and 6 New Perks
The Steam test build also targets save-load crashes, oxen pathfinding, farming systems, and AI behavior.

Manor Lords beta version 0.8.110 is now available for testing, with its biggest changes focused on farming and a new group of six Development Perks. The build also addresses save-load crashes, oxen logistics, pathfinding, building speed, and several AI problems.
Slavic Magic says player Steam reviews helped prioritize save corruption, crashes when loading, oxen logistics jams, general crash frequency, building speed issues, and farming. The developer says QA and alpha testers are no longer seeing the most urgent problems, although players are still asked to report anything that survives into the beta. The full announcement is available in the Steam update notice.
Farming has received the clearest systems pass. Wheat and Rye are now Winter crops, while Flax, Barley, and Oats are Spring crops. Wheat and Rye can still be sown during Spring for a quicker but smaller harvest, and unharvested crops in October will now lose yield gradually instead of forcing an immediate rotation. The field interface also adds a 12-month activity timeline to make upcoming farming work easier to track.

Fertilizer production gives livestock another role in settlement management. Pasture animals produce Dung, Dung Collectors gather it at the new Dunghill building, and Farmhouse workers can apply Fertilizer to Fallow Fields during Summer to raise their maximum fertility. Crop Rotation is now always active, and the system can rotate fields after a harvest, on September 1 when there is nothing to harvest, or on November 1 when crops died without being harvested.
The new Rural Foundations category unlocks at Settlement Level 3 and contains six choices: Experienced Forestry, Woodland Beekeeping, Fish Husbandry, Livestock Provisioning, Practical Tillage, and Pastoral Practice. Their bonuses cover forestry, beekeeping, fishing, animal production, crop protection, and pasture management, with several perks adding new building upgrades or seasonal options.

Version 0.8.110 also adds the Fishmonger, which produces Smoked Fish from Fish and Salt, along with the Dunghill and its Dung Collector families. Other changes improve animal breeding, livestock assignments, AI settlement planning, field management, save loading, and oxen transport. The build follows the earlier 0.8.097-0.8.100 beta, which introduced the wider livestock and construction systems now being refined here.

Patch Notes – Version 0.8.104–0.8.110 (Beta)
The changelog covers the farming redesign and Rural Foundations perks in detail, then moves through AI, balance, logistics, military, interface, save-load, visual, and optimization changes.
Major Changes
- New Development Perks: Added “Rural Foundations” Perk Category with six new perks, unlockable at Settlement Level 3.
- New Artisan: Fishmonger. Produces Smoked Fish from Fish and Salt.
- New Building: Dunghill. Assigned Families (Dung Collector) collect Dung and produce Fertilizer. Dung & Fertilizer may only be stored at the Dunghill.
- Dung Production: Pasture Animals produce Dung at various rates depending on the animal.
- Fertilization: Farmhouse workers can boost a Fallow Field’s Maximum Fertility by applying Fertilizer during Summer. Fertilizer lasts for just over 2 years.
- Seasonal Crops: Officially split Crops into Winter and Spring and strictly allow farming tasks in their appropriate months.
- Wheat & Rye are Winter crops, but can optionally be sown in Spring for quicker return, but less yield.
- Flax, Barley & Oats are Spring crops and can only be sown in Spring.
- Refactored Field UI: Includes a timeline of the next 12 months of upcoming field related activities.
- [Experimental] Crop Rotation is now always ON for all fields and cannot be disabled, since not using it didn’t have any benefits.
- Plowing of Fallow fields is allowed in Spring, Summer & Autumn but has the lowest priority of all tasks.
- Unharvested Crops in October will no longer force-rotate, but instead will begin to slowly die and lose their yield, giving a window of time to salvage the field.
- Crop Rotation now occurs across Autumn, and has three triggers;
- On September 1st for a field with nothing to harvest, including Fallow.
- After a harvest completes.
- On November 1st (for fields that died and were never harvested).
