Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks like a gag on paper, but it comes across much closer to Arkham than a standard Lego tie-in. It keeps the detective work, counter-based combat, and Gotham atmosphere, then swaps the grim tone for Lego humor and bits drawn from Batman Begins and The Batman.
That blend gives the game room to breathe. Batman can be shaking down a criminal one minute and sharing a dance sequence with Jim Gordon the next, and the shift never feels out of place. The story threads pull from different corners of Batman’s history without sanding them down.
The combat also looks familiar in the right way. Enemies range from quick swordsmen to shield-bearing brutes, which gives each fight a little more bite, and after each level the game opens into a bigger Gotham where the Batmobile, side quests, and random crimes fill the streets.
Batman: Arkham Knight still matters in this conversation because this new Lego take leans on that same rhythm, just with a lighter coat of paint and a much sillier sense of humor. Tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram for more gaming coverage.
