Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will launch on PlayStation 5 on October 8, 2026, with both digital and physical editions planned. Saber Interactive has spent more than four years developing the horror game, which draws from Clive Barker’s vision of pain, pleasure, and otherworldly transformation.
The announcement on the PlayStation Blog also included a behind-the-scenes developer diary. The video discusses the team’s work on the game and the fears that surfaced during development.
At the center of the story is Aidan Lynch. His girlfriend, Sunny, activates the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box that summons the Cenobites. The encounter leaves Sunny’s soul in danger, forcing Aidan to seek a way to save her while dealing with the beings connected to the Labyrinth.

The Cenobites are not presented as simple villains. They pursue new sensations beyond ordinary human experience, treating pain and pleasure as parts of the same search. That outlook puts them at odds with Aidan, but it also makes their role in Sunny’s fate less straightforward than a typical monster-hunting story.
Aidan will also face the Scarlet Church, a cult led by the charismatic Marlowe. Its followers want to contact the Cenobites and use the Genesis Configuration to create their own version of paradise.

The cult is only one threat. The Unworthy are former seekers who were rejected by Leviathan, the creator of the Cenobites and ruler of the Labyrinth. They see the Genesis Configuration as a possible path to redemption and will pursue Aidan to claim it.
Combat lets Aidan combine weapons with the Genesis Configuration. Players can attack with dual-wielded weapons using R2 and activate Genesis Configuration powers with L1.

Not every encounter is meant to be fought head-on. Turning off Aidan’s flashlight with R3 may help him avoid danger, while pressing the left stick with L3 performs a quick 180-degree turn for a fast escape.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will arrive for PlayStation 5 on October 8, 2026. The game will be available digitally and at retail.
