GTA VI’s August 27 Extended Look Will Reportedly Run for 30 Minutes
The Netflix premiere is scheduled for August 27, followed by an online release later that day.

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will reportedly run for 30 minutes when it premieres on Netflix on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The presentation is still upcoming, but its reported runtime gives viewers a better idea of how much material Rockstar Games plans to show.
The length comes from a new BBC report on the recent GTA VI leaks. Rockstar previously announced the special as an extended presentation for Netflix, though the runtime had not been publicly detailed in the earlier schedule information.

Netflix is scheduled to carry the first showing at 3 p.m. ET on August 27. The presentation will then reach the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website at 9 p.m. ET. A Netflix account will be required for the earlier broadcast, while the later online release will be available that evening, as outlined in the August 27 schedule.
The special will be the first extended gameplay presentation for GTA VI after the trailers released in December 2023 and May 2025. Neither of those trailers included actual gameplay footage, so the upcoming broadcast is expected to offer a much longer look at how the game plays than Rockstar’s previous video material.
The announcement also arrives while alleged GTA VI footage continues to circulate online. That unofficial material should be kept separate from the 30-minute figure, which refers to Rockstar’s planned presentation rather than the length of the leaked clips.
