GTA 6’s 30,000-calorie sandwich ad appears to reuse a Red Dead Redemption 2 location
Fans matched the river bend, rocks, and leaning tree near Annesburg after spotting the scene at 7:34 in the nearly 27-minute preview.
A blink-and-you-miss-it moment in Grand Theft Auto VI‘s nearly 27-minute Netflix Extended Look has a very funny second layer. The Prairie Sandwich Box Meal commercial shown while Jason waits for Lucia appears to recreate a location from Red Dead Redemption 2, right down to the river bend and nearby scenery.
The fake commercial appears at 7:34 in the preview. It advertises a 30,000-calorie meal packed with at least 4 kinds of meat from the open range, along with world-famous buns. Before the ad turns violent, several animals wander through a grassy area beside a river.
The landscape matches an area in Red Dead Redemption 2 north of Annesburg. The river’s curve, 2 large rocks, and a tree leaning over the water line up closely with the scene used in the GTA 6 commercial.
Fan s1nicki made the connection by recognizing those environmental details and then pinpointing the area near the river bend.

The location was marked just north of Annesburg, giving viewers a clear place to compare with the short commercial. A follow-up map also places the spot along the same winding section of river.

Other Red Dead connections have also caught attention around GTA 6. Fans have pointed to characters from the western series appearing on GTA 6 currency and the Duke weapon manufacturer returning, with a community discussion of those connections collecting more examples.
Rockstar has packed plenty into the extended preview, but hiding a familiar Red Dead landscape inside a ridiculous fast-food commercial may be one of its best little jokes.
