Update Highlights
One of the major highlights of this update is the numerous animation fixes for the Half-Life 2 campaigns. These campaigns are now playable through Garry’s Mod, provided you own the games on Steam.
Quality of Life Improvements
Apart from the animation fixes, the update also introduces a few quality-of-life improvements. These include a search bar for addon presets and spawnicon editor menus and the date of the last visit for each server in the server browser.
Particle Editor Layout
For modders, good news awaits: The new Particle Editor layout is now available. This layout mimics the functionality seen in newer Source Engine games and comes packed with a bunch of new particle operators and initializers.
Additional Fixes and Improvements
The update doesn’t stop there. It also includes a variety of minor fixes, optimizations, stability improvements, and additions here and there, enhancing the overall gaming experience for both modders and players. However, the update requires servers to update before you can join them. This might mean a short waiting period post-update, during which you may receive a message stating “The server is running an older version of the game”.
We kindly ask for your patience as server owners update their servers. Please remember that downgrading to a previous version of the game isn’t an option. Make sure your game is up-to-date and ready to embrace the new improvements.
