Forza Horizon 6’s British Automotive Series Starts Sept. 10 With 3 New Cars

Forza Horizon 6’s British Automotive series is now live in Horizon Japan, with the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior serving as the opening Summer reward. The four-week event began on Sept. 10 at 2:30 PM UTC and runs through Oct. 8. A launch update confirms the first reward is available now, while the original Steam announcement lays out the complete British-themed schedule. The update’s Steam download was scheduled for Sept. 7 at 5:00 PM UTC, and the permanent Drift Attack feature remains part of the rollout.

The four-week Festival Playlist includes cars from Bentley, Ginetta, Vauxhall, Jaguar, Lotus, MINI and Aston Martin. A British Automotive Takeover near Horizon Stadium will add another way to find rare cars, while Car Pass owners will receive four more vehicles over the same period.

Three new British cars headline the Festival Playlist

The 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is the biggest series-wide target, requiring 80 points between Sept. 10 and Oct. 8. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 works with an electric motor to produce 771 horsepower, and the car carries an A 699 rating with all-wheel drive.

Built for the one-make Ginetta Junior Championship, the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior uses a 1.8-liter inline-four engine that produces 100 horsepower. The lightweight racer weighs around 864 kilograms and starts at B 560, with its low weight and handling focus making it distinct from the series’ more powerful rewards. Players can earn it for 20 points during Summer, which runs through Sept. 17.

Winter brings the 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR as another 20-point reward from Sept. 24 through Oct. 1. The hot hatch starts at B 512 and produces 236 horsepower. All three cars are making their Horizon debut.

Four weeks of British Automotive rewards

The two largest rewards remain available throughout the full series. Festival Playlist points earned across all four weeks count toward both cars, while each season’s points reset when the next week begins. Players can earn points from rotating races, PR Stunts, photo challenges, multiplayer events, Treasure Hunts and other weekly activities, so seasonal tasks need to be completed before their listed dates.

The seasonal track mixes new cars with returning favorites and gives each week its own pair of targets. The 2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car is the 160-point series reward. It has an R 960 rating and 1,042 horsepower, and it is normally obtained through Wheelspins. The remaining seasonal cars are divided as follows:

The series also adds the Retro Racesuit through the first week’s Jaguar photo challenge and the Classic Jacket during the second week’s Seasonal Hide & Seek activity. A Lionheart Player Badge is available for playing during the British Automotive series, and the Shimanoyama region will hide the Drift Tire Mascot Collectible during Week 2.

Drift Attack adds a permanent score chase

At Shimanoyama, Drift Attack’s permanent circuit gives drivers a direct open-world route into a drifting competition. Players score points across a lap, can continue for as many laps as they want, and earn larger totals by holding slides inside the new Clipping Zones.

The mode supports solo runs, Convoys and other players in the Shared World. Its in-world and Convoy leaderboards track the scores. Earning 550 Collection Journal points through Drift Attack unlocks the Drift Attack Racesuit and Helmet along with the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. A stock version of the Jaguar is also being added to the Autoshow.

British cars take over the Aftermarket dealership

The British Automotive Takeover will appear at the Aftermarket dealership near Horizon Stadium in Shimanoyama. Alongside special deals on British cars, the location will offer test drives of each week’s 20-point seasonal reward. Players can also find the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and 1961 Jaguar E-type, two cars that are usually limited to Wheelspins.

Car Pass delivers 4 more cars

The Car Pass schedule adds one vehicle each Thursday during the series:

• 2025 McLaren W1, available Sept. 10
• 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, available Sept. 17
• 1998 Renault Sport Spider, available Sept. 24
• 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe ‘Luftauto 002’, available Oct. 1

The 2025 McLaren W1 also introduces advanced paint options for individual parts of the car. Car Pass is included with the Deluxe and Premium Editions and the Premium Upgrade, or it can be purchased separately.

Small fixes arrive with the series update

The update preview includes a fix for misplaced wheels, separate audio and subtitle language settings, and a correction for player character models failing to appear inside other cars at lower PC graphics settings. Players using the High preset on PC will also receive a car-rendering quality adjustment based on performance telemetry. The full release notes include the rest of the changes.
