F1 25’s 2026 F2 Is Available Now as 7 Special Liveries Begin Unlocking

F1 25’s v1.25 September update is available now, bringing the complete 2026 F2 championship into the game while seven special liveries roll out on staggered dates for owners of the 2026 Season Pack or 2026 Season Edition.

EA SPORTS detailed the broader changes in its Steam announcement. The new F2 season includes its current drivers, teams, cars, and calendar, giving players another way to race through the 2026 season while four rounds remain in the real-world championship.

The F2 cars can be used in Grand Prix, Time Trial, multiplayer, split-screen, and LAN modes. They also appear in Showroom, and players can take them around MADRING, the hybrid street and purpose-built circuit introduced with the 2026 content.

Seven special liveries will roll out across three September drops. Racing Bulls at Suzuka, Audi at Monaco, and Cadillac at Silverstone will be available from Sept. 9 through Oct. 14. Cadillac at Miami and McLaren at Monaco will arrive on Sept. 11, with Aston Martin at Monaco and Racing Bulls at Miami joining them on Sept. 16. All seven can be claimed for free through the in-game mailbox by owners of the 2026 Season Pack or Edition.

F1 25’s 2026 cars receive a visual refresh

The September Sports Update brings eight teams closer to their latest real-world designs. Ferrari’s distinctive “Macarena” rear wing is one of the most visible additions, while updated liveries and sponsors appear on the relevant 2026 cars after the update is installed.

Beyond the new F2 season and livery rollout, v1.25 adjusts wet-weather deployment, updates 2026 race regulations, and includes changes for career progression, steering wheels, force feedback, Simagic hardware, car models, and general stability.

Highlights

Updated a number of Team Principals in various locations in the game.
To better reflect the 2026 regulations, Boost Mode with limited deploy power is now available in wet conditions.
To better reflect the regulations, Straight Mode and DRS will now only remain active when the driver’s throttle input is above 90%.
An “Overtake Enabled” Race Control message will now show at the correct times during race using 2026 F1 cars. This has also been added to the UDP output.

Cars and Tracks

Fixed an issue on certain Sponsor Liveries where the driver number was overlapping a sponsor logo.
Updated the Rev light pattern on Franco Colapinto’s steering wheel.
Raised the position of the 2026 Red Bull steering wheel to match the real car.
The Front Suspension on the 2026 Aston Martin and Haas cars now appear correctly attached to the wheel.
Corrected some of the trackside barriers at Australia, which had previously been on loan from Austria.

Career

Updated the tyre allocation for several 2026 F1 Race Weekends.
Fixed an issue where the amount of available Pitcoin was not shown when accessing the Store within Career mode.
Fixed an issue on the Driver Career Team Select screen, so the Recognition Values shown will now always be correct.
In Driver Career mode, completing an F2 season will now give you bonus Recognition when you start your first season in F1.
Fixed an issue which was preventing Accolades from being shown correctly when starting a Driver Career with an Official F2 driver.

Wheels and Controllers

Slight adjustment for Wheel users, ensuring a better match of control inputs to physics output during rapid input range changes.
Fixed a stability issue which could affect users with both Moza and Simucube peripherals.
Fixed an issue affecting certain hardware where Force Feedback calls could prevent players from achieving higher frame rates.
Improved control schemes for existing Simagic hardware.
Additional support for Simagic P500 and P700 Pedals, Neo X Hub, Zeus Formula, GT and Sport Steering Wheels.

Misc

Various UI and Stability Improvements.
