The post says that changing the game language, dying in a raid, and verifying the game files did not correct the issue. Its suggested cause is more specific: the key codes remain in the file, but their corresponding keyName entries are replaced with "None". How to try the Control.ini fix
Before changing anything, make a backup copy of the settings file. The procedure comes from a single player and has not been independently confirmed, so editing the wrong section could create more problems with your controls.
- Open the Windows app data folder by entering
%appdata%in File Explorer. - Go to
Battlestate GamesEFTSettings. - Open
Control.iniwith Notepad++ or standard Notepad. - Look for entries where a bind still has a key code but the action name is missing or appears as
None. - Find an older raid log and open its
application_00.logfile. - Search the log for the older control configuration and copy the matching control data into
Control.ini. - Place the recovered block below the
Versionentry, then save the file and check the bindings in-game.
The example uses the inventory bind as a reference. The key remains Tab, but the missing action label is restored to Inventory. That distinction matters because copying a complete configuration from another player may not match your own keyboard, mouse, sensitivity, or custom binds.
Use your own older log when possible
The safer part of the suggestion is to recover the control block from your own files rather than blindly copying someone else’s settings. The supplied configuration includes movement, mouse axes, leaning, weapon controls, inventory slots, tactical actions, and other commands, but it may not match every player’s setup or current game version.
