Epic is trimming Fortnite Crew’s monthly V-Bucks payout before the next season lands

Epic said the Crew pack will drop from 1,000 V-Bucks to 800 V-Bucks starting June 6, 2026, at the launch of Chapter 7 Season 3.

Fortnite Crew subscribers are about to get less currency each month. Epic said the membership’s V-Bucks grant will fall from 1,000 to 800 when the change takes effect on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the start of Chapter 7 Season 3.

The change follows Epic’s earlier March update to Fortnite’s paid V-Buck prices, which already reduced the value of the game’s currency bundles. Crew was left on the same monthly price at $11.99/£9.99, but the bonus V-Bucks inside the subscription are now being adjusted to match the new rate.

Epic had already said in March that the Crew grant would move from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks and that subscribers would receive an email with the timing for their region. As of Tuesday, April 7, those emails have started arriving, and they point to the June 6 switch date. If you want more details on the currency changes, our earlier coverage of Fortnite’s V-Buck price changes breaks down the store-side adjustment, while this Xbox promotion shows how the battle royale has been leaning on different subscription deals.

The upside, at least, is that 800 V-Bucks still covers the battle pass for the new season. Epic also says Chapter 7 Season 3 will still let players earn 800 V-Bucks through the battle pass itself, which gives Crew members some room to spend on cosmetics such as Fortnite skins if they want to save the monthly currency for later.

There is no way to stockpile the old 1,000-V-Buck value through Crew, either. Because the subscription renews monthly, the lower payout will simply apply to the first Crew pack that arrives after Season 3 begins on June 6, 2026.
