Fortnite’s Sprites May Continue Into Chapter 7 Season 4
Epic Games has confirmed that Sprites will continue into Chapter 7 Season 4, with new powers, variants, a Sprite Garden, and five contest-winning Sprites arriving in a mid-season update.
Fortnite players may not have to say goodbye to Sprites when the current season ends. Epic Games has now confirmed that the collectible creatures will remain available in Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, which is expected to begin after the current season wraps up in mid-August.
Sprites became one of the season’s main collection activities. Players have been searching for different variants, with rare versions and themed additions giving them another reason to keep checking the island. Epic Games has also continued adding new Sprites alongside crossovers, including Batman and John Wick.
An earlier Sprite hunt schedule showed that Epic was still adding new activities around the mechanic during the final stretch of the season.
What Will Happen to the Sprite Collection?
The earlier leak came from Blortzen through Looloo_Wrld, with the post claiming that Sprites would remain in Fortnite for Chapter 7 Season 4. Epic’s official Season 4: Override announcement has since confirmed that the collection will continue.
The announcement also teases a new generation with fresh powers and variants, along with more ways to find Sprites both inside and outside matches. Epic says it is making quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback as well.
A separate, unverified teaser claims that the next season will introduce more than 1,000 new Sprites and variants. The image names Chapter 7 Season 4 Override, while an August 20, 2026 start date has been associated with the season following Chapter 7 Season 3’s scheduled end on August 19. These details fit the current mid-August timing, but Epic Games has not confirmed the teaser or the dates.
Sprite Garden Gives Collections a Home
The biggest addition is the Sprite Garden, an island getaway where players can spend time with the Sprites they have collected. Players will also be able to visit friends’ gardens and see how their collections come together.
Any new Sprite collected during Season 4 will be added to the garden right away. Epic has also said that Sprites from past generations may return in the future, giving players another reason to keep looking for older designs.
Five DesignASprite Winners Will Join a Sprite Garden
Fortnite has also announced five winners of its #DesignASprite contest: @enorull, @Conejito_sam, @matsubokiri, Avila215, and u/StinkyPrincessGoose. Their winning designs are the Bullet Sprite, Dumpster Dive Sprite, Honey Sprite, Pond Sprite, and X-Ray Sprite. They will arrive with a mid-season update.
Before then, Epic plans to keep the collection hunt active with boosted drop-rate days, surprise Power Hours, and new quests. These activities will give players more chances to fill out their gardens before the next group of Sprites appears.
That does not confirm how the system will work after the seasonal transition. The current collection could stay intact, receive new entries, or be adjusted to remove Sprites tied to limited-time collaborations. It is also unclear whether players will keep their progress or need to collect certain creatures again.
Themed Sprites connected to Batman, John Wick, and other collaborations may leave the rotation, although that has not been confirmed. Epic Games has not announced the next season’s full Sprite plans, so the unverified teaser’s claims about the total number of new Sprites and the dates should still be treated cautiously.

More information should arrive as Epic Games approaches the next season. The upcoming gaming legends-themed season is also expected to be followed by a one-month mini-season that will close out the chapter. Chapter 8 is currently projected to begin in late November after that mini-season.

Keeping Sprites in the game would give players another ongoing activity between major crossover releases. Whether the collection carries forward exactly as it is or receives a fresh set of rules remains unknown.
