The Elder Scrolls Online Hosts Free To Play Weekend, Has Sold 10 Million Copies

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play over this weekend thanks to its 10 million copies sold. Strangely, the free to play period starts tomorrow, which is not a weekend day but whatever, fans who ever wanted to try the game are more than welcome to try it.

Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios are going to prolong this event due to December 6. Not only there will be a free to play throughout the weekend, but there will be a gift to all the active players. Everyone will be given 500 Crowns so they can enjoy spending at the in-game store. It is good to hear that players will take part in a vast world full of people. That’s one of the reasons that usually makes The Elder Scrolls Online the most socially competent game.

All the attendees of this free period will also get the chance to experience the Dungeoning system The Elder Scrolls offer. Temporary accounts will get the chance to experience the same rewards as active players. By completing dungeons, they will receive a significant award, and a possibility to get some of the excellent pets, mounts, and cosmetics.

As a celebration of the milestone, The Elder Scrolls Online has received a trailer and you can watch it below.

From personal experience, the game is worth trying. However, we had some issue in the past. A friend of mine played The Elder Scrolls Online back in the days, and after a long time, he tried to get back to it. However, he hasn’t been able to recover his character even after he has contacted the developer. The strange thing is, they haven’t responded. However, back to the subject. It is good to see developers organize a free to play period.
