EA SPORTS FC 27 v1.0.3 Fixes Career Transfer Requests and The Grounds Bugs
The patch also addresses Ultimate Team loading issues, unavailable 5 Star Skill Moves, player duplication, and stability problems.
EA SPORTS FC 27 version 1.0.3 is live, fixing a Career Mode bug that could lead players to request transfers without warning, even when morale was high. The small update also addresses Ultimate Team problems and matchmaking and skill-move issues in The Grounds, according to EA’s version 1.0.3 Steam notes.
In Ultimate Team, opening Moments challenges could trigger a loading screen that required restarting the game. The Grounds also gets a matchmaking reliability improvement, alongside fixes for unavailable 5 Star Skill Moves and players occasionally getting stuck on a wall during Goal Control kickabouts. Elsewhere, the update addresses player duplication from the Club Transfers menu and several stability issues.
The Career Mode fix adds a concrete change after EA said in its September 29 Career Mode update that it was reviewing transfer requests tied to playing time. The version 1.0.3 notes describe players secretly asking to leave without prior messages or complaints, even with high morale.
The skill-move fix also follows version 1.0.1, which addressed 5 Star Skill Moves failing in Street Football matches in The Grounds. The new notes refer to certain game modes but do not name them, so they do not establish whether this is the same issue. EA is also collecting player feedback through its EA SPORTS FC 27 feedback form.

- In some cases during Manager Career, players may have secretly requested a transfer without sending any prior messages or complaints, even if their morale was high.
General, Audio, and Visual
Made the following changes:
- Updated some stadium themes, kits and text.
Addressed the following issues:
- Addressed various stability issues that could have occurred.
- Transferring a player from the Club Transfers menu could sometimes cause them to be duplicated.
