Denuvo has been removed from the PC version of Dragon’s Dogma 2, putting the game ahead of its upcoming Dark Arisen expansion without the anti-tamper software. SteamDB’s depot history records the change for the game’s depot.

Capcom plans to bring Dark Arisen to the game in October, so the timing gives the PC release a technical change shortly before that new content arrives. No reason for the Denuvo removal has been given, and the change does not by itself confirm a frame-rate improvement.
The expansion is not the only future addition in view. Capcom has also confirmed work on a tougher endgame mode for capped characters, though it has not announced when that feature will arrive.
For now, the confirmed change is limited to Denuvo leaving the PC version. Players will have to see whether the new build brings any practical performance difference as more time passes, while Dark Arisen remains on track for October.
