donk adds another medal to his collection

The Esports World Cup award is the 12th medal of donk’s career and his ninth at Big Events. That puts him level with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač in fourth place on the all-time leaderboard.

The result also came after poor elimination series at IEM Cologne and BLAST Bounty’s grand final. donk responded at the Esports World Cup with a 1.87 rating on map four of the grand final, adding another huge performance to an already imposing event résumé.

The award keeps donk in the year-end top 20 race

donk has never finished outside the top two in the year-end top 20. His medal from the $2,000,000 event gives him another strong result as he tries to maintain that record against Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, who remain his usual rivals for the top individual honors.

Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer tactical first-person shooter developed and published by Valve. Released in September 2023, it is the fifth main entry in the Counter-Strike series and serves as a direct replacement for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam. Two teams, Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, compete in objective-based rounds across modes such as bomb defusal and hostage rescue. Built on the Source 2 engine, the game introduced volumetric smoke physics, revised weapon handling, and a new sub-tick server architecture. It inherited all cosmetic items from its predecessor and features both a map-specific Competitive mode and a numerically ranked Premier mode.
