Dawn of War 4 will no longer launch on September 17. KING Art Games has moved the real-time strategy game’s release to December 3, 2026, giving the team several more weeks to finish development.
The developer said the delay will provide time to improve performance, fix bugs, and add more polish before launch. After years of waiting for a new entry in the series, players will have to hold the line a little longer—but the game has not been pushed into an uncertain release window.
Game director Jan Theysen also published a video explainer alongside the announcement, offering more context for the revised schedule.
KING Art Games has updated the post-launch roadmap to account for the new release date. The changes affect the timing of future content, but the developer has not indicated that the planned roadmap has been abandoned.
Preorders are available on Steam with a 10% discount before launch. That brings the price to $53.99 in the United States and £44.99 in the United Kingdom.
